It’s World Book Day 2018 and all the kiddies are getting dressed up as their favourite book characters. Or, if you are like me, finding a dress-up costume floating around the house and somehow making it a book character.
Nevertheless, to celebrate World Book Day, I have pulled together a list of latest favourite books that we tuck into before bedtime each night.
Oi Goat!
First there was Oi Frog!, then Oi Dog! And the Oi Cat! If you like rhyming-a-long books then you will love these. Oi Goat was released especially for World Book Day and is part of the £1 books you can pick up at the moment.
Ruby Rides an Elephant
UK author Ruby Lovell was inspired to write this book by her childhood in Sri Lanka and subsequent holidays to the island with her own children. Follow Ruby as she experiences the colours, sounds and sights of this beautiful island whilst travelling with Rani the elephant.
Where’s Wally?
I remember spending hours of my childhood looking for Wally, his dog, his girlfriend, his wizard friend and bunch of other people/things. My eldest has now become infatuated with these books and has about 5 of them figured out.
Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls
From Jane Goodall to Cleopatra, this book contains 100 short “tales of extraordinary women”. Each short is illustrated by one of 60 female artists. And it’s the most-funded original book in the history of crowdfunding. What more can I say?
