One slick liner: the new EYEKO Skinny eyeliner

Cosmo often has really good ‘freebies’ with their magazines. Gone are the days of cheap sunglasses and flimsy beach bags. Hello beauty products.

This month, Eyeko eyeliner came with the Cosmo and I love a bit of eyeliner so was ready to give it a go.

I am more of a pencil girl for the smudgy effect or a gel eyeliner for the more polished effect. When I discovered it was a liquid liner I was a little hesitant to be honest. To get liquid liner right you need to have a really steady hand and you have to look out for random gloops of liquid which leave you cursing and starting all over again.

This liner is a breeze to apply. The liquid is super thin so there is no gloop to worry about. Actually, it reminded me of watercolour paints on a brush in terms of the consistency of the liquid. Furthermore, it’s not a brush, but more of a rubbery sponge of an applicator thereby making the application process a lot easier.

To top it all off, it is long-lasting so no need to worry about it fading or sliding down your face after a long day at work, with the kids or busting some shapes on the dance floor (if that is what you do, no one is judging you).

I tested the durability… check it out:

1. I doodled on my hand. It dries within seconds.

2. I put my doodled hand under running water for about 15 seconds. The colour didn’t run or fade.

 3. I patted it dry with a tissue and it faded a little but not much.

As you can see it is there to stay. I ran two races this last weekend, on the same day, and even though my mascara ran this Eyeko liner was my one saving Glam grace for the duration of the two races.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner comes in black, blue, purple, green and brown. You can get it from Selfridges or with get a mini version with the July Cosmo.
