With the summer holidays finally upon us, I have been on the hunt for the best sun protection for my face. With two young kids leaving me short of sleep, I don’t need any other factors affecting the ageing of my skin. I have tried out this little gem over the past couple of weeks and am suitably impressed.
Clarins has just launched UV Plus SPF 50, a multi-protection day screen that is applied daily over your favourite Clarins moisturiser and under make up. It has a number of fabulous benefits rolled into one which means it saves me time in my beauty routine and makes it a winner.
Light and translucent
There is nothing worse than applying a high-factor sunscreen to your face that leaves you feeling like you have just applied a layer of butter to your face.
Clarins UV Plus SPF50 is a very light consistency and oil-free, unlike most face sunscreens. It is quickly absorbed by the skin, even after applying moisturiser, and doesn’t leave a white residue on the skin thanks to its translucent properties.
High SPF Factor
Clarins UV Plus SPF50 is a high sun protection factor giving maximum protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
Including sun protection in your daily beauty routine is a given. I spend so much of my time ensuring my girls have necessary protection when we are in the sun and by applying this product first thing in the morning I can make sure that I am covered too.
Living in London (or any city for that matter) exposes your skin to the negative effects of a polluted environment. It can leave your skin looking dull, dehydrated and contribute to premature aging.
Clarins UV Plus SPF50 includes an anti-pollution complex, that is exclusive to Clarins, and protects the skin from the harmful effects of urban dwelling.
Clarins UV Plus SPF50 costs £32 and can be found at Selfridges, John Lewis and other large retail stores.
