Alexa for Eyeko mascara and eyeliner :: The Christmas Wish List

Alexa for Eyeko mascara and eyeliner

Christmas Wishlist

Last month saw the launch of a the limited edition Alexa for Eyeko gift set. The product flew off the shelves and Selfridges was overflowing with Alexa excitedly waiting to sneak a peak at Alexa. This is the perfect gift for the your sister or best friend this Christmas. I mean, who doesn’t want Alexa eyes?

Alexa for Eyeko review

Alexa Chung is a British model turned business woman and has won the Style Icon award at the British Fashion Awards for three years running. She is also known for her signature feline flick of eyeliner and is the perfect ambassador for eyeliner the world over.

For the Leykinds (the Eyeko founders), no other spokesperson would have been acceptable. “We’ve been fans of Alexa’s for a long time, and we were like, ‘She’s an eye freak like us,’” said Max Leykind. “She’s as obsessed as we are.”

I am a huge fan of Eyeko eyeliner and find it is not as messy as pots of gel liner and easier to apply as it is pretty much the same as holding a pen. I am quite a frequent user of liquid eyeliner and tend to have a steady hand but I feel that anyone would be able to perfect the Alexa flick after a few attempts.

Alexa for Eyeko review

One of my favourite things about this Alexa for Eyeko “Eye do”eyeliner is that it is waterproof and so it won’t budge during the day. There is nothing worse than looking at yourself in the mirror at the end of the day and your eyeliner has disappeared or run half way down your face.

Alexa for Eyeko review

I have never tried an Eyeko mascara before as I tend to stick to a firm favourite but this one is great. What I just love with this Alexa for Eyeko “Eye Do” is that it is jet black. To most people, black is black. Well try this one out and you will see what I mean – I doubt I have ever used a mascara as deeply dark as this one. I love it as it really defines the eyes.

This gift set, in fact any of the Eyeko products, will make fantastic stocking fillers. They are make up bag staples and I am so glad I was able to get my hands on this set. You can find a great selection of Eyeko products at Selfridges online or in store.

Now that this collaboration has been a massive hit, can we anticipate any more Alexa / Eyeko product lines in the future? I hope so!

What will Glam Mummy reveal on the next day of her Christmas wish list?
